Spring Equinox Sisterhood Gathering

We gather just a few days after the Spring Equionx and festival of Ostara within one of the stone circles at ‘The Henge Shop’ in Avebury.

The spring equinox takes place on March 20th In the Northern Hemisphere, the day wintering ends and the blossoming of spring begins, the start of Aries season and a new zodiac year.

The word equinox comes from Latin and means, 'equal day and night' At this point in time, the sun is directly above the hemisphere, meaning that both halves of the Earth are receiving the sun's rays equally, and the length of day and night are pretty much the same.

We can look to honour our Maiden & the goddess Ostara during Spring, a time to look to our full potential, planting the seeds of opportunity, growth and rebirth.
