St Brigid’s Moon + Devotional Voice Circle

Join us for the first New Moon of the year & as we are leading up to Imbolc, the first Pagan festival of the year, we will be honouring this magical transition & St Brigid.

Imbolc is a festival of light, which celebrates the first stirrings of spring after the long dark winter.

The name Imbolc is usually taken to mean “in the womb” For many modern Pagans it is a time of purification and sweeping away of the old in preparation for the coming year.

In Celtic Folklore St Brigid was a powerful triple goddess of poetry, healing, and smithcraft, associated with the transition from winter to spring. Often depicted as a maiden who brings the coming of spring and the end of the winter hag, the Cailleach.
